Do you have parking?
We have our own parking lots, one at each house. There is adequate parking for one car per room.

What is your cancellation policy?
Usually we require 72 hours notice. If you are staying with a large group or are coming at a very busy time of the year (a la South by Southwest Music Festival), we may require up to a month notice, a deposit and a contract. Be sure to read the confirmation email upon receipt. Be sure to read the cancellation policy that comes with your confirmation email. Details vary, so I can't post them all here.

What are check in and check out times?
Check in time is at 3 PM. Check out happens at 12 noon. We can be somewhat flexible with both times; give us a call or email.

Do you have air conditioning?
Yes, both places have central air and heat. Some rooms at the Star of Texas Inn have their own units.

Where in Austin are you?
We are located 2 blocks west of the University. We are also about 16 blocks from the fun part of downtown. That's about a $7 cab ride, or a 40 minute walk. There are numerous bus routes to and from downtown and some are free. Google map.

How far are you from the airport?
We are about 20 minutes from the airport. The cab ride will cost about $25. You can also arrange with Super Shuttle. The Super Shuttle charges $18 for the round trip.

Do you accept children or pets?
We no longer accept pets at all, at either property. Children over the age of 5 are welcome.

What is there around you to do?
There are more than 120 restaurants downtown. There are many places to eat within a 6 block radius from here:
The Clay Pit has great curry.
Mars Restaurant has a lot of southeast asian cuisine.
There are numerous pizza places, burger joints, wing shops, etc. We are right next to the University, after all!
The Dog and Duck is a cool place to play darts or pool. The beer selection is good, and they have a patio.
